Global Mineral Investments (GMI), an affiliate of Venga Aerospace Systems, has been congratulated for finding gold during the start-up up phase of its mining projects in Sinoe County, Liberia.

The country's deputy minister for planning and development, A Kpandel Fayia, offered his good wishes and support to the company in an official communique after it pulled 14 ounces of the precious metal from its sites at Kumasi Hill and Dugbe River.

"Congratulations on your gold finds," he commented. "GMI is now a gold production company in Liberia. Please call me if I can be of any service to you."

The gold was found between May 29th and June 13th as the projects got underway.

According to GMI's official website, it has a class B mining licence for Sinoe County and expects that its projects in the area will continue until around 2016.

Its ALS Chemex assay reports suggest that there are "significant gold levels per ton" in the area
